Margaret A. Koschel

Devoted To Family And Danbury Community

Margaret A. “Peggy” Koschel, 77, wife of John R. (Jack) Koschel, Jr, died November 22, surrounded by her loving husband, her children, and grandchildren. She was born in Danbury, October 23, 1931, a daughter of John H. and Margaret (Carroll) Will.

 She will be missed by her husband and children, including Kevin M. Koschel and his wife, Beth, of Newtown.

She graduated from Western Connecticut State College with a degree in medical technology and was employed at the Danbury Hospital for several years.

During her lifetime, Mrs Koschel was an active citizen of Danbury, working as an assistant registrar of voters and serving on the Republican Town Committee, the Danbury Fair Rent commission, and the Danbury Board of Ethics.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was devoted to her family.  

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury, on Saturday, December 13, at 10 am. There are no calling hours.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs Koschel’s memory to The Peggy Will-Koschel Memorial Scholarship, Western Connecticut State University Foundation, 181 White Street, Danbury CT  06810.

 Green Funeral Home, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
