Divine Dogs, “A heavenly spa where all dogs go,” according to its tag line, opened its doors at a new location December 2.

Formerly at 123 South Main Street, owner Cori McNerney and staff are now offering full-service grooming for all dog breeds at 78 South Main Street, near the intersection with Elm Drive.

Still under construction, but open for business, Ms McNerney said that the new larger space will allow her to accommodate more clients, as well as to expand her retail items. “We had simply outgrown our old space,” said Ms McNerney of the decision to relocate the business.

Divine Dogs continues to offer the same customer-friendly service at its new location. Consultation with owners and a complete evaluation of each dog is provided to determine best styles and maintenance practices. A wide selection of all natural, US-made grooming products allows Ms McNerney to choose the best product for each client.

Elevated tubs make in and out of bathing easier on groomers and clients, and an access door allows the larger breeds to walk into the tub. Divine Dogs provides full grooming, bathing, nail care, and dogs are never crated while waiting for services or pickup. Gated pens are available for those dogs that prefer a private environment while in the care of Divine Dogs.

A grand opening is planned for March.

Divine Dogs is open 8 am to 6 pm, Tuesday through Friday, and from 8 am to 5 pm, Saturday. Call 203-270-9999 for appointment. Complete grooming services and information can be found at divine-dogs-ct.com.

Cori McNerney, owner of Divine Dogs, shares a moment with her client, Fenway Pawk Kirkham, a Wheaton terrier owned by Jennifer Kirkham. Divine Dogs relocated in early December to 78 South Main Street, where Divine Dogs can service more customers in the spalike grooming facility.
