Also Approaching

In addition to the abovementioned events, The Resiliency Center will benefit from a fundraising Bike-A-Thon happening at Exceleride, 211 Greenwood Avenue in Bethel (Dolan Plaza), on Sunday, December 7.

All proceeds from the 4 and 5 pm spin classes will go directly to RCN. A minimum $40 donation is requested, which can be paid at the door.

Registration is available at exceleride.com. Call 203-917-4521 for additional information.

Then on Tuesday, December 9, the center will host a program for children, where they will make unique essential oil dispensers.

A representative from doTerra will be at RCN from 4:15 to 5:30 pm. Children will get to mix their own oils and make a dispenser from a section of a birch tree branch.

Registration is requested and can be done by calling 203-364-9750 or sending e-mail to jholguin@resileincycenterofnewtown.org.

Founded in the aftermath of 12/14, The Resiliency Center of Newtown has a full day of special offerings, including crisis counseling, planned for the third anniversary of the Sandy Hook School shootings. Residents can take advantage of the programs free of charge.
