The Garden Club of Newtown hosted its annual Holiday Greens Sale in Edmond Town Hall’s gymnasium on the morning of December 4. In previous years, the event took place at The Meeting House.

Tables were filled with a variety of handmade items from members of the local garden club, including wreaths, swags, boxwood trees, centerpieces, ornaments, kissing balls, and decorative bows.

Many pieces went quickly at the very start of the sale — especially the wreaths — causing volunteers for the event to have to remove multiple tables and consolidate the remaining items.

Guests were also able to check out current and past releases from two Newtown authors doing book signings. Andrea Zimmermann had copies of her latest book, A Legacy of Lies, and Sydney Eddison had copies of her newest book, The Woodland Garden.

Proceeds from the Holiday Greens Sale, as well as a portion of money from the book sales, benefit the Garden Club of Newtown with its local outreach efforts.
