Wreaths and other greens decorated the center aisle at Newtown Meeting House on December 7 when The Garden Club of Newtown hosted its annual Holiday Greens Sale.

The annual club fundraiser also had decorated cookies and other baked goods available for purchase, along with handmade holiday cards and more. Along with wreaths, holiday centerpieces with greens bursting from wooden holders were among some of the festive offerings.

Just before doors opened, club members were busy setting up the final pieces and local author Sydney Eddison readied copies of her latest book of poetry, Light of Day, in a corner.

After the doors opened for the event, the center aisle quickly filled with shoppers mingling and reaching out to touch the decorated wreaths and other sale items.
