To the Editor:

A month later and we are still in awe of the tremendous support we received at our fourth annual Science of Wine fundraiser. On November 16th, over 100 people gathered to share their enthusiasm for EverWonder Children’s Museum, held at Nouveau Monde. All funds raised will benefit the museum’s mission to cultivate a lifelong love of learning in children by encouraging them to think, inquire, and wonder about the world around them.

Thank you to all our sponsors, including Nouveau Monde, Newtown Savings Bank, Efficient Lighting Consultants, Salome Sports Training, Advantage Commercial Realty, Dental Associates, New England Electrical Contracting, and Caraluzzi’s.

A special thanks to Nouveau’s Peter Chang & Bill Towne for providing a perfect setting, VIP wine tasting, and pairing of wines and hors d’oeuvres. Also, thanks to the Mike Cusato Band for providing some great live music throughout the night.

The fundraiser began with a welcome by Chairman Steve Singlak, a speech by new Executive Director Merredith Christos, and another by David Roach, Newtown High School’s vice principal. Dr Richard Coopersmith ran our live auction and paddle raise, which included a week at the Jersey Shore, golfing packages, a flat screen tv, and even a trip to Thailand!

A big thank you to all our volunteers, especially the chair of this event: Jennifer Hoag. This event could not have been done without her leadership, and we appreciate all her help and guidance as well as the board of directors for their support before, during, and after the event.

On behalf of both the staff and board of directors at EverWonder, we thank everyone for your continued support of our museum. We are grateful to be a part of such an amazing community and can’t wait to see you in 2019!
