Touch âEm All Wins It All
Touch âEm All defeated Carminuccioâs to win the Menâs Sunday Slo-Pitch Softball League championship on September 12. Touch âEm All had to win two games at Dickinson Park to claim the title and held off Carminuccioâs 14-11 to force a winner-take-all contest. Touch âEm All scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to come back and win 11-9 in the pinnacle game.
In the 14-11 win, Larry Pignatello and Chris Anastasia were both 3-for-4 and scored twice. Charlie Coates, Mike Lancaster, Mike Douskey, and Mark Fracker all had multiple-hit games. Touch âEm All led 11-0 and held on despite a valiant Carminuccoâs comeback effort.
In the second game, with the game tied and two outs in the ninth, Andy walker hit his second home run of the game to lead Touch âEm All to the win. Rich Rekos, Howie Ziperstein, Fracker, and walker each had three hits. Coates added a home run and drove in three runs in the win.
For Carminuccioâs, Dave Passano was 5-for-8, including two doubles and two triples, and Tim LaPak and Carl Abrahamson each hit home runs.
