Summer is a very exciting time of year, but with the threat of Lyme disease, the West Nile virus, and skin cancer, it can be a very scary time as well.
How big is the threat of these diseases, and how likely are we to be affected by them? How damaging are the sunâs rays and is the potential threat going to get worse?
The panel of experts will includes Gale E. Ridge-OâConner, entomologist, Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station; Thomas E. Forschner, executive director and co-founder, Lyme Disease Foundation; Gary Lessor, assistant director, Western Connecticut State University Weather Center.
