At Midtown Coffeehouse
DANBURY â The Midtown Coffeehouse has become a popular Thursday evening ritual for students on Western Connecticut State Universityâs Midtown campus. Now greater Danbury residents can enjoy the eclectic and exciting performances to be featured at 9 pm on the next three consecutive Thursdays â April 26, and May 3 and 10 â in Alumni Hall on the universityâs midtown campus, 181 White Street
The featured artists will be:
*April 26: Â Play It By Ear, WestConnâs own a cappella ensemble;
*May 3: Take October, a group founded in 2005 at WestConn with a sound like Guster, Barenaked Ladies, and Dave Matthews Band; and
*May 10: Amy Gerhartz, a New York City-based artist who has been described as similar to Alanis Morisette and Shawn Colvin.
Admission to the coffeehouse is free; donations to the WestConn music department will be accepted.
