Robert A. Koehler

Robert A. Koehler, 77, husband of Isabelle (Coll) Koehler of Newtown, died February 11 in Ashlar of Newtown. He was born in Laurelton, Queens, N.Y., on September 21, 1929, a son of Albert F. and Bertha M. (Bayer) Koehler.

In addition to his wife, a brother, Albert Koehler of Hampstead, N. C, survives Mr Koehler.

Mr Koehler was a graduate of St Francis College, Brooklyn, N.Y., and earned a master’s degree from New York University. He was a graduate of St John’s University Law School. During the Korean War he served in the US Army.

Mr. Koehler was a partner in the law firm of Berle and Berle in New York City until his retirement. A resident of Newtown since 1978, he was a longtime volunteer for the Cyrenius H. Booth Library annual book sale, and was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated February 15 in St Rose of Lima Church. Interment followed in Resurrection Cemetery.

Arrangements were in care of the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
