Want to meet the Cat of the Week?

Well, then, just go down to Pet Connections in Sand Hill Plaza. From Friday through Sunday, the selected Cat of the Week will be receiving visitors and interviewing families. Amanda Connecticut, a cat rescue group, has been successfully placing adult cats in local homes through the help of Pet Connections.

Nine adult cats, rescued from harsh situations, have been placed in safe homes in the past three months.

Each cat has all their medical completed and leave for their new families with their medical records. They are all up to date with their shots, spayed or neutered and negative for aids and leukemia.

The life story as known by the rescue is also included. 

This weekend the cat is Smokey – a three- to four-year-old guy with a thick coat of steel blue fur and a heart of gold. Smokey was rescued from an elderly woman’s home after she went into an assisted living facility. The care of nine cats and three dogs was left to another individual who felt that finding homes for the animals was too much trouble. Amanda Connections stepped in and took the animals and now is finding homes for all of them.

Smokey is looking forward to meeting everyone this weekend so between hot dogs and ball games drop by for a chat.
