Garage Fire On

Botsford Hill

A fire Wednesday afternoon after 2 pm caused an estimated $32,000 in damage to

a Botsford Hill Road home, garage and motor vehicle, said Fire Marshal George

Lockwood.

The fire started in an attached garage at the Farley residence, causing fire

and smoke damage to the garage, heavy smoke damage to the living quarters,

plus damage to a pickup truck parked in the garage, according to the fire

marshal.

There were no injuries to people present when the fire started, he said.

Fire officials were investigating the cause of the blaze Thursday.

Botsford, Sandy Hook, Newtown Hook and Ladder, and Hawleyville firefighters

responded.
