DUI Charge

Police report that at about 6:40 am on June 1, they received a call informing them that a vehicle was parked on Beaver Dam Road, blocking the passage of vehicles on that road, so police went to the area to investigate.

Police said they found motorist Garrett O’Connor, 19, of 11 Avalon Way asleep at the wheel of that parked vehicle, which had its engine running, after which they sent O’Connor to Danbury Hospital for treatment.

After O’Connor was released from the hospital several hours later, police charged him with driving under the influence and with improper parking.

O’Connor was released from custody on $100 bail for a June 19 court appearance, police said.

Warrant

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Andrew Cabral, 20, of 14 Queen Street went to the police station on June 2 and was charged with failure to respond to an infraction, allowing a dog to roam, and failure to comply with dog ownership requirements, police report.

Police said the arrest stems from an incident that occurred in November 2007. Police released Cabral on $167 bail for a June 12 court appearance.

DUI Case

Police said motorist Ennio Dinino, 53, of 123 Huntingtown Road was seen driving across the road’s center lines while he was traveling southward on South Main Street, near Prospect Drive, about 11 pm June 1, so they stopped him to investigate.

Police charged Dinino with driving under the influence, failure to drive to the right, and driving while under suspension.

Dinino was released on $100 bail for a June 17 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
