Nighthawk Softball And Girls' Lacrosse Teams Eliminated

Newtown High's softball and girls' lacrosse teams saw their seasons come to an end in State Tournament action on June 6.
The softball team traveled to Fairfield Warde and lost 4-2. Newtown trailed 4-1 and was down to its final out before plating a run and getting the potential tying run on base before Warde closed it out. The lacrosse team visited Masuk of Monroe and lost 15-7. Blake Heim-Sherwood scored twice in the loss.
