Hearts of Hope will host a Paint with a Purpose event at Newtown Community Center on Wednesday, October 15, to benefit a regional hospice grief program.

Participants will paint inspirational ceramic hearts in a group setting, accompanied by personal messages of care, compassion, and hope. These hearts will be gifted to Regional Hospice’s Healing Hearts Program, which provides bereavement support groups for grieving adults, children, and families in Danbury.

The Newtown-Strong Therapy Dogs will be present for all to interact with. There will be fun and games for all ages, along with popcorn, free stickers, and photo opportunities.

This event will run from 6-8 pm at the community center, 8 Simpson Street. There is no cost to participate, but donations are always welcome.

Hearts of Hope Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities find hope in the midst of grief. This organization was born from the tragedy of 9/11 and emerged with a vow to serve those facing grief with the necessary tools and education to cultivate empowerment, resilience, healing, and growth. The first local chapter was founded in Newtown following 12/14.
