On Tuesday, January 13, Northern Fairfield Professionals will host its next meeting. The meeting will start with networking opportunities from 5:30-6 pm, have a presentation from 6-7:30 pm, and end with another 30 minutes of networking from 7:30-8 pm. The meeting will be held at the Knights of Columbus building on the Saint Rose campus, 46 Church Hill Road.

This month’s speaker will be David Gilman, president of Gilman Performance Solutions, Inc. Gilman will present “Accelerating Interview Success Through Style.”

Applicants work hard to get interviews and often they have multiple layers, with recruiters, talent acquisition, hiring manager, and/or team members in any combination. Interviewing effectively is critical, whether it is virtually, or, of course, in-person. This 60+ minute interactive workshop will help applicants understand their style and determine who they are dealing with to apply versatility for success. Research has shown that the model covered in this presentation is the easiest to apply and most effective back on the job — and also fully applicable in personal lives. This has actively been used for people in recruitment/talent acquisition to also help match candidates with hiring managers for success. Come prepared to be fully engaged and ready to learn the technique that has positively changed peoples’ views and skills, personally and professionally.

Gilman has internal experience and has been consulting for a number of years. Gilman focuses on helping firms, teams, and individuals be more successful through learning programs, team building, and meeting facilitation. His clients include Peoples United (now M&T), GE, Webster Bank, Cartus, BI, Bayer, UBS, Dell, and many smaller firms.

Northern Fairfield Professionals (NFP) is a free networking group that meets the second Tuesday of every month and usually hosts a guest speaker to discuss a topic of interest for business professionals or professionals looking for a job.
