To The Editor:

I first met Michelle Embree Ku almost 15 years ago when she wanted to help our hometown through volunteering in local office.

Her interest is the same now as it was then. How can she help make Newtown better for everyone living here? Typical for a scientist, she asks the important questions and then listens first, researches what has been done and what could be done.

She has led the Board of Education through the pandemic and attempts at book banning, coming up with pragmatic solutions after listening to all stakeholders. Her time on the Board of Selectman taught her the ins and outs of how the town is run and her current position on the Legislative Council is an avenue that she is using to find bipartisan solutions. She has already built critical relationships with Hartford through learning a state-wide task force. We need to put her to work in Hartford so that her skills and dedication to Newtown can help us all navigate the chaos being thrown at us from the GOP in DC.

Please join me and my family in putting Dr. Michelle Embree Ku to work for us as our State Representative for the 106th District.
