Northern Fairfield Professionals is a free networking group that meets the second Tuesday of every month. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 5:30-8 pm at the Knights of Columbus building on the St Rose of Lima campus, 46 Church Hill Road.

Meetings typically feature a guest speaker whose presentations are geared toward business professionals, focusing on topics relevant to the job search and ongoing career development. This month’s meeting is an interactive panel discussion with talent acquisition professionals from local companies. The panel will provide insight on the best practices for working with recruiters and corporations, along with discussing hiring trends in today's job market. The panel will also discuss the process used to screen and qualify candidates as well as misconceptions that have surfaced in regard to the process. Other discussion topics may include recommendations for candidates, social media, and networking. Attendees are asked to come with questions to ask the panel.

The panel discussion will be held from 6-7:30 pm, and the meeting will have two 30-minute networking periods from 5:30-6 pm and again from 7:30-8 pm. The meetings also feature a “landed talk,” where a Northern Fairfield Professionals member briefly shares their job search success story and insights from their journey.
