A Vote For Change

To The Editor:

We are at a fork in the road. Take one branch, and we walk hand in hand with a national administration of cruelty, corruption, fraud, lies, and downright dangerous mental instability. Walk the other path, and we can find change that is meaningful.

This close to midterm elections, many people may have decided on the votes they will cast. But for those who remain unsure, consider this: A vote for candidates who will not disassociate themselves from a morally bankrupt political party is a vote for continuation of an administration whose every move brings us one step closer to the destruction of democracy as we have known it.

It is important at the national level, the state level, and the local level to vote for those who pledge to return America to a country respected worldwide. That will not happen by voting into office any candidate who has not publicly denounced the dangerous administration that “rules” through intimidation and hate-fueled fear. What is said or unsaid, actions taken or not taken should be carefully considered in making choices that have the power to alter lives.

At every level of governance, we must now be more vigilant than ever. Our future as a democratic republic depends on it.

Your vote at the national and state levels will determine which path we follow. That holds true for votes in local elections.

When you cast your vote in Newtown on November 3, vote for change.
