Supports Laroche
To The Editor:
When considering who to vote for Newtown's State Senator, the decision is as simple as looking at each candidate's background.
A vote for Rob Blanchard is a vote for the status quo in Connecticut. Rob came to Newtown with over ten years experience at the state level putting Connecticut near the top of the pack in unaffordability nationwide. Rob and his Hartford allies are responsible for some of the highest utility rates in the country, as well as some of the highest tax burdens on citizens. Rob Blanchard's party has a 'solution' for affordability that removes local control from zoning boards and directly threatens the character of towns like Newtown.
Amybeth Laroche has professional experience in contact negotiations, as well as political experience on our town finance board. Amybeth Laroche has made it clear that one of her top priorities is to defend each town in the 28th district’s charm and uniqueness. I can’t think of a more qualified background than that if we’re trying to help Newtown and the state of Connecticut improve economically.
I will be enthusiastically voting for Amybeth to be our next state senator, and hope you consider her for your vote as well.
