Mr and Mrs Eli Seth Kent

Christie Melene Donovan and Eli Seth Kent of Charlestown, Mass., were married July 13, 2003, at St Mary Church in Plymouth, Mass., with Father Bryan Parrish officiating. The bride attended Newtown High School.

Family and friends celebrated at a reception following the ceremony at White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth, Mass.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Melene Donovan of Plymouth, Mass. The groom is the son of Mark and Susan Kent of Woodstock, Vt.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a backless white gown with lace appliqué and a steel blue silk sash. Her necklace of faceted aquamarine nuggets was of her own design. She carried a hand-tied white bouquet of lily-of-the-valley and feathers.

The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Melissa Brennan of Waterbury. The maid of honor was Erin McClure of Austin, Texas.

Bridesmaids were Summer Failla, sister of the groom, of Mahwah, N.J., Jaime Muench of Boston, Mass., Kristy Walsh of New York, N.Y., Lauren Angelli of Billerica, Mass., and Jenna Scacchi of Wakefield, Mass. The bride’s attendants wore knee-length raw silk steel blue dresses in the design of their choice and carried white hand-tied bouquets of hydrangea and peonies.

The best man was Erik Kent, the groom’s brother, of San Diego, Calif.

Ushers were Vincent Failla of Mahwah, N.J., Jon Wadsworth of Beverly Farms, Mass., John Buck of Venice Beach, Calif., William Bourdon of San Francisco, Calif., Ryan Corey and Jordon Gray, both of New York, N.Y. Liam Brennan, the couple’s nephew, was the ring bearer.

The bride attended Providence College in Rhode Island. She is a pharmaceutical sales representative for Johnson & Johnson and is currently pursuing jewelry design.

The groom attended Woodstock High School and St Lawrence College in Canton, N.Y. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Babson’s Graduate School of Business in 2001. He is currently a managing director at Moody, Aldrich Partners, an institutional money manager in Marblehead, Mass.

The couple enjoyed a honeymoon on St Barts, and they currently reside in Charlestown, Mass.
