A Nice Surprise

To the Editor:

I’ve just learned that the Newtown Board of Ed found a $300,000 surplus left over from their 2009-2010 budget. What a nice surprise. That money should be turned over to the town side to replace the cuts already in place.

It’s the duty of the Board of Finance to demand that the money be returned to the town side. Maybe some jobs could be saved. It is quite apparent that our key educators speak with forked tongue.
