Mr Crofutâs program will be âHow To Set Up A Portrait Study.â
Although Bob Crofut has had an impressive career as an illustrator, his first love has always been painting with historical significance. Nine years ago, he decided to create his own market and developed his âAmerican Remembranceâ theme.
His stated aim is to make his paintings not just historical documents, but evocative impressions from our nationâs rich heritage. Mr Crofutâs paintings have a soft artistic quality that he calls soft-focus realism. This is achieved through an oil glazing technique.
Mr Crofutâs work has appeared in Smithsonian, Wild West Magazine, The Artists Magazine, National Geographic and many other publications.
Admission is free. Newtown Meeting House is at 31 Main Street, opposite the flagpole at the top of Church Hill Road.
