Appraisal Day A Success
Appraisal Day A Success
To the Editor:
I would like to thank the appraisers and patrons who participated in the Newtown Historical Societyâs third annual Antiques Appraisal Day held Sunday afternoon at the Meeting House. It was a great day of learning, fun, and fund-raising.
Special thanks go out to Tucker Frey, Wayne Mattox, Don Broderick, and Steve Stieglitz, our professional panel of appraisers, for performing almost 200 appraisals in three hours. They once again proved themselves to be knowledgeable beyond expectation.
I would also like to thank Sherry Paisley and the Heritage Preservation Trust for allowing us to use the Meeting House as our setting this year. Their generosity and assistance contributed greatly to our overall success.
I sincerely look forward to working with all of you again at the societyâs next appraisal day.
Sincerely,
Ellin F. Hayes
