A Life-Changing Experience

To the Editor:

On behalf of the campers, parents, and chaperones of the Newtown Ecumenical Workcamp, I would like to express our thanks to Monsignor Bob Weiss and the parishioners of St Rose Church for their generous support of our 2009 mission trip.

On the weekend of February 7 and 8, Monsignor Bob allowed us to speak after masses about the workcamp experience: how it has changed our lives and increased our faith to have the opportunity to help others who are less fortunate. In these tough economic times we are humbled by the generosity of the parishioners of St Rose. Their donations will greatly assist us as we travel to Oakland, Md., this June.
