The Anti-Rabies Clinic
The Anti-Rabies Clinic
To the Editor:
Last Saturday we held our 25th annual Low Cost Anti-Rabies Clinic in Newtown. We vaccinated 16 cats and 47 dogs. This clinic was made possible by local veterinarian, Dr Brian Silverlieb of Mt Pleasant Hospital for Animals and his assistant, Mary Simpson â both of whom donated their time and service â my very special thanks to each of them.
I would also like to extend many thanks to the following volunteers from the Newtown Womanâs Club, who for the 18th year assisted at the clinic: Lorraine VanderWende, Marilyn Alexander, Carol Mattegat, Mary Antey, Evelyn Spera, Pat Denlinger, and Marion Thompson. Special thanks also go to Canine Advocates Volunteers Virginia Jess, Denise Jusasek, Margie Smith, Ashley Mackey, and Trish Woolton who donated their time to help with the animal control. And thanks to my assistantâs Renee Weimann, Ann Benore, and Monica Duhancik who were on hand and issued the new 2010 dog licenses.
Thanks again to all who helped to make this annual clinic a success.
Sincerely,
Debbie A. Aurelia
