Larry Oliver, 72, of Knoxville, Tenn., died February 12. Mr Oliver was born July 22, 1936, in Bridgeport, to Lawrence and Stella Oliver. Mr Oliver and his family lived in Newtown for many years.

Mr Oliver was a business owner in Connecticut prior to retiring to Knoxville, where he was a member of All Saint’s Catholic Church.

 Survivors include four children and spouses, including Larry “Butch” Oliver of Newtown; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral and graveside services took place in Tennessee. A memorial service will take place Saturday, February 28, at 11:30 am, at The First United Church of Christ, Congregational Chapel, 18 West Main Street, Milford.
