During public participation at the Board of Education’s January 26 meeting, where Superintendent of Schools Janet Robinson presented the 2010-2011 Superintendent’s Budget, Newtown Middle School music teacher Mark Mahoney as advisor for the Jazz Band after school program said the program has earned students roughly $10,000 in scholarships during his tenure as advisor, not each year as was reported.
