CT Film Festival Seeking Volunteers For Culminating Event
DANBURY â The Connecticut Film Festival is looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of operations at its culminating six-day event, May 4-9 in downtown Danbury, including the box office, ushers, ticket takers and party personnel.
âThis is a perfect way to see the inner workings of the film industry up close and personal,â said Tom Carruthers, founder and executive director of The Connecticut Film Festival. âOur volunteers will enjoy a week of fun, make new friends and see the best in independent films and music.â
Interested volunteers are encouraged to visit www.CTFilmFest.com, click the volunteer tab on the home page and complete the online volunteer questionnaire. Once submitted, a volunteer coordinator will contact the applicant directly.
Interested parties may also leave a message with their name and a day or evening phone number at 203-778-1550.
Other perks of being a Connecticut Film Festival volunteer include meeting filmmakers, actors, writers and other creative industry personnel involved in one of New Englandâs premiere film, digital media, music and screenwriting festival and conference events.
For six years, The Connecticut Film Festival has brought fresh, cutting-edge independent cinema and education to dozens of towns and cities throughout the state. The organization has also partnered with numerous non-profit groups to create charity fundraising events, which have benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation and The Hole In The Wall Gang Camps, among others.Â
