Letters Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

During the last few weeks, after reading letters about our State Representative Chris Lyddy, I have thought back to the recent times that I have seen Chris when he was not in session in Hartford. I observed him listening to John Hamilton, a counselor who spoke about the drug and alcohol issues and the young people in this area and neighboring towns. The next day, I observed him sitting in the back of a church in Newtown grieving the tragic death of a fine young woman from Newtown.

Observing and listening are two essential traits of people who represent others in any capacity. We are blessed to have this young man represent us, and someday in the future we will be proud to say that we knew him when he served us in our hometown of Newtown. In the meantime, I am grateful that he is representing us.
