Flu Shots

The Newtown Health District will sponsor a free flu vaccine clinic on Saturday, January 15, from 10 am to noon, at Canaan House at Fairfield Hills.

The vaccine is recommended for all children aged 6–23 months; persons 2–64 years with chronic medical conditions; women planning to get pregnant during flu season; residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities; children 2–18 on chronic aspirin therapy; health care workers with direct patient contact; out-of-home caregivers and household contacts of persons in high-risk groups.
