Re-Viewing José Limón
On Tuesday, June 5, June Dunbar will offer a slide presentation at Gunn Memorial Library and Museum about the new book she has edited, José Limón: The Artist Re-Viewed. The program will begin at 6 pm in the Wykeham Room of the library, at 5 Wykeham Road and Route 47 in Washington. Admission is free. José Limón (1908-1972) is considered by many to have been one of the finest performer-choreographers of the 20th Century. He founded the José Limón American Dance Company in 1947, was on the staff of Juilliard School of Music, and was artistic director of American Dance Theate.
