Ganim Will Run Again
Thomas G. Ganim of Easton announced late this week his plans to make a second
run at the state Senate seat for the 28th District.
Mr Ganim, 32, made an unsuccessful bid to unseat Sen Fred Lovegrove two years
ago, despite spending tens of thousands of dollars on his campaign. His run
for office was marked by several aggressive television ads, which attacked Sen
Lovegrove's record.
Last month, Mr Lovegrove announced that he would not seek reelection to the
senate, opening the door for a handful of new candidates. Earlier this week,
Republican John McKinney of Easton announced his plans to run, and John Pavia,
also of Easton, threw his hat in the ring two weeks ago.
Mr Ganim, an attorney in his family's Brigdeport firm, is running in a
district saturated with Republicans.
