Fasten Your Seatbelts!

To the Editor:

When I read about the concern regarding our tax increase driven by the proposed town budget (in the area of 10 percent) an expression comes to mind.  “Fasten your seatbelts, cause you ain’t seen nothing yet!”  Should the foolhardy purchase of Fairfield Hills actually get approved, it will make this proposed increase look like a gift!

I continue to hope that sanity will prevail and that our tax dollars will be treated like real money rather than monopoly play money.
