To Conclude NFoM Season
Newtown Friends of Music will sponsor a concert by The Quartetto di Venezia on Sunday, April 6. The performance at Edmond Town Hall in Newtown will be the finale for NFoMâs 25th anniversary season.
Ticket holders will enjoy the sounds of a string quartet in the typical Italian school of playing stringed instruments. Directly from Venice, Italy, the quartetâs members are Andrea Vio, first violin; Alberto Battiston, second violin; Luca Morassutti, viola; and Angelo Zanin, cello.
The all-Italian program will consist of works of Luigi Boccherini, Antonio Vivaldi, Antonio Bazzini, Giacomo Puccini, and Giuseppe Verdi.
Tickets are $15, with children between the ages of five and 14 admitted free of charge when accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Edmond Town Hall is handicapped accessible and parking behind the building is free.
The concert will start at 3 pm and reservations are being recommended. The box office will open at 2.
A gala reception following the concert will allow ticket-holders the opportunity to meet the featured musicians as well as to celebrate 25 years of concert performances sponsored by Newtown Friends of Music.
