Annual Conference On Psychosynthesis
Annual Conference On Psychosynthesis
STRATFORD â The Association for the Advancement of Psychosynthesis will hold its third annual conference, âPsychosynthesis 2001,â on March 23 and 24 in Stratford.
Psychosnythesis is a method of psychological development and self realization founded by Roberto Assagioli, an Italian psychiatrist, in 1910. A type of psychotherapy, it is described as a collection of concepts, techniques, and creative processes that can be used to heal minds, bodies, and spirits, guided by an inner knowing that is called the higher self.
The conference is an opportunity to hear and meet with teachers, therapists, and authors who are the leaders in the psychosynthesis movement. The 15 workshops during the day and a half conference will explore Dr Assagioliâs model of human development using a community building ritual called the co-creative kiva group process, adapted from Native Americans.
The conference is co-sponsored by the Connecticut Institute for Psychosynthesis, 2225 Main Street, Stratford. Rosalind Till, co-chair of the steering committee and a teacher of psychosynthesis, will present âAging with Spritâ during the conference.
