Frances Kahn
Frances Kahn, 98, formerly of White Plains, N.Y., died March 16 in Ashlar of Newtown, where she had been a resident the past two years. She was the wife of the late Gabriel Kahn.
She is survived by her seven grandchildren: Eileen Dunseith of Newtown, Leslie Demont of Epping, N.H., Timothy Kahn of Florence, S.C., Robert Kahn of Danbury, Rick Kahn of Danbury, Larry Kahn of White Plains, N.Y., and Matthew Kahn of Bardonia, N.Y.; two daughters-in-law, Patricia Kahn of White Plains, N.Y., and Elaine Kahn of Bethel; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, Gabriel F. Kahn and Richard L. Kahn.
Mrs Kahn was born in New York City on March 29, 1905. She was a longtime resident of White Plains, where she was bookkeeper for the family business, Kahn Florist. She also had resided in Valhalla, N.Y. For many summers she ran the Gilford Cabins on Lake Winnipesaukee, N.H.
Mrs Kahn was a former member of the Womenâs Club of White Plains, N.Y., was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed sewing and crafts.
A private family service will be held at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
Burial will be in Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
