Ernest James âE.J.â Tykarski, 30, of Newtown, died unexpectedly March 18 in Palm Coast, Fla. He was born in Danbury on January 20, 1977, a son of Ernest C. Tykarski of Palm Coast and Patricia (Frampton) Kubit of Newtown. Â
Mr Tykarski grew up in Southbury and attended Southbury schools. He was a self-employed farrier servicing area horse farms.
He also enjoyed restoring Ford Mustangs.
In addition to his parents, Mr Tykarski is survived by his fiancée, Jennifer Cable of Newtown; two sisters, Barbara Buck of Sandy Hook and Carolyn Kubit of High Point, N.C.; his paternal grandmother, Frances Tykarski of Danbury; his stepfather, Robert Kubit of Newtown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am, Saturday, March 24, from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, and at 10 am in St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Calling hours will be Friday, March 23, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Honan Funeral Home.
