NHS Students Inducted Into National Honor Society
The National Honor Society has announced that the following students were inducted to the National Honor Society on May 3. Faculty, parents and students attended the event.
To be eligible for selection, a student must have an overall unweighted average of 88 or better over at least five semesters of academic work at Newtown High School. In addition, the student must be seen by faculty and staff as a student of good character.
The student must complete a student information form demonstrating to the Faculty Council that he or she has a broad foundation in leadership as well as service to school and community. Students are expected to maintain the qualities for which they were selected throughout their high school years.
