Luke On The Lamb
Luke On The Lamb
To the Editor,
On Friday evening, April 7, the gate to our fenced back yard was inadvertently left open and our dog, Luke, a little 18 pound Border Terrier, took off for the hills. Fortunately, it was still light out. I wish to thank our neighbors who quickly reported sightings to us, and all the unknown motorists on Queen Street who apparently came to a stop as Luke ran down the middle of that busy street. To the person in the blue car who reportedly tried to catch our quick little terrier â thank you for going out of your way to help. Thankfully, my husband caught up to Luke on Queen Street, unharmed and unaware of his predicament.
Iâve often read other letters to the editor from not-so-fortunate pet owners. Thanks to the kindness of strangers, help from friends and neighbors, and just plain old good luck, our story has a happy ending. Thanks to all.
Sincerely,
Kim Connolly
