Adoption Program Open House

BRIDGEPORT — The Adoption Program of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County will sponsor a China Adoption Open House for potential adoptive parents on Tuesday, March 23, 6 pm, 238 Jewett Avenue in Bridgeport.

The evening is provided free of charge and is open to individuals and couples of all faiths interested in adoption. Parents who have recently completed successful adoptions through the China Adoption Program of Catholic Charities will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about their trip. Adoption professionals from Catholic Charities will also discuss international adoption of infants, the home study process, and other information about the legal, social, and psychological aspects of adoption.

“If you are interested in adopting a child from China, now is the time to begin the process. We have been placing children from China since 1995. To date we have placed over 50 children with Connecticut families and have had many families return for a second adoption,” said Amy Zajac, director of the CCFC Adoption Program.

The Catholic Charities program provides traditional, open, identified, and foreign born adoption services. It also provides home studies, right-to-know information, programs to empower adoptive parents, and educational forums for prospective adoptive parents.

Registration is requested to assist with planning. For information on the Catholic Charities Adoption program, call Amy Zajac at 203-372-4301, ext 370, or visit the adoption page on the Catholic Charities website at www.ccfc-ct.org or contact azajac@ccfc-ct.org.
