Peter Richard Law, 58, of Brattleboro, Vt., died peacefully, April 18, at Hope Hospice care in Coral Gables, Fla. He was born March 12, 1952, in Newtown, to Michelle and Richard Law, who are now deceased.Â
Mr Law graduated from Newtown High School in 1970, where he competed on the cross country, track, and debate teams.
He is survived by his partner Karen Jones of Brattleboro; two children; a sister; his former wife, Alicia Lacour; and several nieces and nephews.
A longtime resident of Westminster West and Brattleboro, Mr Law touched many lives as a coach of youth soccer and softball and as a local businessman with Mastaller Cleaning and PR Law Cleaning. He was a voracious reader, and an avid sports fan who shared his love of the Red Sox with anyone fortunate enough to have attended a game at Fenway Park with him.
Mr Law loved travel, music, the garden, the beach, and all kinds of physical labor and activity. He adored his family. He was respected in many communities and grateful for his opportunities to both learn and teach.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 8, from 1 to 4pm, at the Friends Meeting House, Putney, Vt.
