Watercolor Program By Lori Simons, Wed. Afternoon
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will host a watercolor painting demonstration by Lori Woodward Simons next week.
Ms Simons will be at Newtown Meeting House on Wednesday, July 25, for the presentation at 1:30 pm.Â
The Merrimack, N.H., resident will offer program on creating a floral still life. The program will be in the lower level meeting room. There is no charge for admission.
Ms Simons earned a bachelorâs in fine art education from the University of Arizona. Her work has appeared in several issues of American Artist Watercolor Magazine and she is the co-author of a Walter Foster instruction book Watercolor Step-by-Step.
Ms Simons paints in both watercolor and oil. She is a member of The Putney Painters, an invitational group in Vermont founded by Richard Schmid and Nancy Guzik. She is currently writing a series of instruction watercolor articles for Watercolor magazine, the first of which appeared in the Spring 2007 issue.
Light refreshments will be served following the presentation.
