Dorothy M. Ingram

Dorothy M. Ingram, 64, of Bridgeport, died Feb 20 at her sister’s residence in Bear, Del.

She was the mother of Mark Ingram of Newtown.

She was born on April 26, 1936. She was an administrative assistant for the International Group for General Electric Company for 10 years, and was a secretary for Pitney Bowes Company for five years. She was a choir director for several churches in the Bridgeport/Stamford area and a music assistant with the Bridgeport school district. She was also an active advocate for the mentally challenged.

In addition to her son, she is survived by another son, Raymond Ingram, Jr, of New York City; two daughters, Alison Ingram of Torrington, and April Ingram of Norwalk; two brothers, John Swain, Jr, of Chester, Penn., and David Swain of Wilmington, Del.; three sisters, Sylvia Crews of Wilmington, Del., Brenda Tildon of Bear, Del., and Carol Pitts of Baltimore, Md.; and three grandchildren.

A Bahai funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 23, at the Catherine B. Laws Funeral Home, 2126 W 4th Street, Chester, Penn.

Interment will be in Haven Memorial Cemetery, Chester Township, Penn. Friends may call on Friday, February 23, from 9 to 11 am at the funeral home.
