DUI Arrest
Police report that while on patrol on the afternoon of April 17, they spotted motorist Joseph Miro, 44, of Fairfield swerving while driving a pickup truck on Wasserman Way, so they stopped him to investigate.
Following field sobriety testing, police charged Miro with driving under the influence, failure to have automotive insurance, making a restricted turn, and with a travel lane violation.
Police said they held Miro on $10,000 bail for a court appearance the following day.
Four Charged
Police said a verbal dispute occurred at Hubbell Plastics at 14 Prospect Drive on the afternoon of April 17, after which they charged four people.
Police said they charged Vasilika Lapaj, 44, of Waterbury with second degree breach of peace. She was released on a written promise to appear May 1 in Danbury Superior Court.
Police additionally issued infractions on a charge of creating a public disturbance to: Edmond Halili, 43, of 10 Mile Hill Road South; Piro Lapaj, 50, of Waterbury; and Ergest Lapaj, 20, of Waterbury.
There were no injuries in the incident, police said.
Drug Charges
While on patrol on Wasserman Way on the night of April 17, police encountered a disabled motor vehicle there which was driven by Jovan Brown, 23, of Waterbury.
Police said they brought in their dog to conduct a search of the vehicle, after which the dog located some drugs.
Police charged Brown with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and with driving a motor vehicle without a license.
After he posted $1,000 bail, Brown was released for a May 1 court appearance.
