members of Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Association, Inc. will be

held in the Conference Room at the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance

building located at 6 Washington Square, Fairfield Hills Campus,

Newtown, CT on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at 7:20 p.m. for the

purpose to report on the activities of the Corporation for the

preceding year presented by the treasurer and to transact any other

necessary business.

BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS & LOCAL TRAFFIC AUTHORITY

PUBLIC HEARING

The Newtown Board of Police

Commissioners, acting as the Local Traffic Authority of the Town of

Newtown will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at

6:00 P.M at 191 South Main Street, Newtown, Connecticut in the

Conference Room on the following matter:

Subject: Traffic Calming

Measures – Proposed

Installation of Speed Tables

on Swamp Road.

The Board will receive public

comment on proposed traffic calming measures for Swamp Road,

including the installation of speed tables (or continuation /

expansion of a pilot installation of raised speed tables). These

measures are intended to reduce vehicle speeds, improve safety for

residents, pedestrians, and cyclists, and address documented

speeding and traffic concerns in this residential area.

Public Participation:

All interested persons are

invited to attend and provide oral comments. Written comments may

also be submitted prior to the hearing for inclusion in the record.

I am tired of the Democrats in Hartford ramming things down our throats, such as a 4-family house without ample parking can be built just about anywhere. I agree with voting red. Our state should be purple, not blue. Over 40% of Connecticut citizens voted for President Trump in 2024, but they do not have a single representative in Congress. At least we should have a purple state government who will help the middle-class to stop the tax hikes.

Surely you jest when you say it is a Republican who doesn't want to answer questions about affordability! Even Governor Lamont is running against his decisions of the last eight years. Almost every Democrat candidate bemoans the cost of living in our state, especially our electric bills, yet the Democrats have done nothing to curb bleeding the middleclass. Republicans like Bolinsky and LaRoche question the 1.70-billion-dollar net profit Eversource made in 2025, up from 811 million in 2024. Eversource more than doubled their profit in one year! Mr. Blanchard has lived in Newtown such a short time (4 months by the time Election Day rolls around), just like Brandon Moore lived here less than a year before he tossed his hat into the ring. Many of the same people who told us to vote for Moore instead of Michelle Ku citing she wasn’t a good candidate to represent us in Hartford, now tell us to vote for Ku. Dozens of Bee endorsements wrote of Moore’s wonderful character, and although he has only lived in Newtown a short time, truly loves our town and understands us. These same people are now telling us to vote for Blanchard. Why would anyone ever value the judgment of character of those who supported Moore? Moore was arrested by Newtown Police on DUI charges and leaving the scene of an accident. He crossed the center line on Main Street and could have killed someone. Although a letter to the editor from Moore’s spouse promised they will “build our future and raise our family here in Newtown”, their house which was bought in June of 2025, was already on the market by July 2026. There is one thing I agree with Moore, and that is in his letter to the editor- “We cannot keep running the same playbook and expect different results.” If you want affordability, fill in the red circle on every single choice., and vote out the Blue

"Democrats are for defending women, youth and our most vulnerable" If this is the case, why is it so hard to then define what a woman is for Democrats? Democrats can't define what a woman is but we must have a woman president....ok Why do Democrats want to have MEN in WOMENS environments? (sports, locker rooms, bathrooms, etc) Why do Democrats want to masquerade the butchering of young boys and girls by calling it "gender affirming care" If you truly understood the history of the Democrat party, would you still vote Democrat?
