Inland Wetlands Commission (IWC) members on Wednesday, January 9, are scheduled to take action on remedies to be implemented by a plant nursery to correct a wide range of wetlands violations at its Huntingtown Road and Meadowbrook Road growing areas. A new state law concerning police enforcement actions during domestic violence incidents took effect on January 1.

Police report that on the morning of December 27, they arrested Bryan Gomez, 18, of Newtown, on a warrant at Connecticut Superior Court in Danbury, charging him with third-degree larceny, which is a felony, in connection with an October 1 incident in Sandy Hook.
