Nighttime Crash

A two-vehicle accident occurred near 107 Berkshire Road about 1:51 am April 9.

Police said motorist Suzanne Frasca, 21, of Brewster, N.Y., was driving a 1993 Mercedes-Benz sedan westward, when another auto, which was traveling eastward, crossed the road’s center line and collided with the Mercedes.

The motorist who caused the accident then left the scene without stopping, police said. Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps members and Sandy Hook firefighters went to the accident scene, where they treated Frasca for neck pain, police said.

Police said they believe that the other vehicle involved in the crash was silver colored 740-series or 750-series BMW with a model year sometime between 1996 and 2001. Anyone with information on the identity of that driver is asked to contact police at 426-5841.
