Strange Story Of Conversos

FAIRFIELD – “The Strange Story of Conversos: The First Jews in the Americas” will be the topic of a lecture by Andree Aelion Brooks, author and journalist specializing in lesser-known topics of Jewish history, on Friday, October 29, at 7:30 pm at a private home in Fairfield.

The event is sponsored by the Congregation for Humanistic Judaism of Fairfield County and is open to the public.

Ms Brooks, a Westport resident, is an associate fellow at Yale University and founder of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale. She is a recipient of the American Jewish Woman of Achievement Award from the American Jewish Committee and the Outstanding Achievement Award from the National Federation of Press Women.
