All deadlines for The Newtown Bee’s print edition of January 1, 2016 are 24 hours earlier this week, due to the New Year’s holiday. This includes editorial as well as advertising deadlines.

The deadline for wedding and engagement announcements is 4 pm Monday. These can be dropped off at The Bee office, 5 Church Hill Road, or emailed to shannon@thebee.com.

Bee’s Buck calls must be made by 10 am Tuesday, December 29. Letters to the Editor must be received by 3 pm Tuesday. They can be delivered in person, or emailed to editor@thebee.com. Letters cannot exceed 500 words, and must include the full name and address of the letter writer.

Listings for the Community Calendar must be received by 4 pm Tuesday. Press releases must also be received by 4 pm to be considered for this week’s paper. Either can be emailed to shannon@thebee.com.

Obituary notices must be received by 9 am Wednesday; email to nancy@thebee.com.

Classified ads must be placed by Tuesday at 1 pm. The deadline for this week’s Real Estate section has already passed (normally 10 am Tuesdays, the deadline this week was 10 am Monday, December 28). Call 203-426-3141 and ask for the Classified department, or send email to classified@thebee.com.

The January 1, 2016 issue of The Newtown Bee will be printed and mailed on Wednesday, December 30. It will also be on newsstands by late that afternoon.
